Yanmar & Aussie Pump Forge Stronger Links
Australian pump manufacturing icon, Aussie Pumps, has announced an enhanced association with Australia’s leading diesel brand,
Yanmar. While Aussie Pumps has been a solid purchaser of Yanmar diesel engines for many years for the range of pumps and pressure
cleaners they produce, the links between the two companies has become even stronger.
“We are continually developing new Aussie Pump products where our client’s needs are more demanding than ever,” Warwick Lorenz said.
“Bigger capacity, harsher conditions, longer operating hours – the list of demands keeps growing to the extent that we have to deliver a better product.”
According to Aussie Pumps Managing Director, Warwick Lorenz, the market is ever changing and Yanmar figures prominently in the current and future product mix.
New Aussie Pumps products such as the Mine Boss and the Mine Scud have been developed with a Yanmar diesel engine providing the power. “Beyond product demands, there are market forces that drive the direction of our business. The world is swinging towards diesel power as opposed to conventional petrol powered engines. We are sending more products overseas to our burgeoning export markets.”
Because of these simple facts, Aussie Pumps has turned to Yanmar to deliver more and more diesel engines.
“Our business relationship has always been first rate,” said John Mason (Power Products Area Manager – NSW) of Power Equipment, the Australian distributor of Yanmar.
“But as the market has changed we have come to support each other more. Yanmar is a global brand with a worldwide warranty. Aussie Pumps know that the Yanmar diesel engines will be supported anywhere in the world that their products are sold.”
Aussie Pumps build a quality product and have placed their complete faith in the Yanmar brand. Yanmar delivers industry leading engines which have electric start with recoil start back up, shut down kits, not to mention Yanmar’s legendary ability to run long and hard.
“As a company we are moving into bigger pumps, trash pumps that require 60hp diesel engines to drive them,” Warwick Lorenz said.
“We have been so happy with Yanmar’s L series engines that we will be expanding our supply chain to include Yanmar multi cylinder water cooled engines into our production.”
“There are exciting yet challenging times ahead and we feel very comfortable in meeting these when we have Yanmar working alongside us.”
