Social & Ethical Responsibility

At Power Equipment we are committed to making a positive impact by conducting our business in a sustainable, ethical and responsible manner.

Ethical Procurement

We prioritize the protection of human rights and the environment by directly sourcing from our trusted long-term manufacturing partners in China, France, Thailand, Italy, India, Japan and Australia. Many of our partners are ISO and Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) accredited, ensuring compliance with international ethical business practices. By nurturing enduring relationships with our suppliers, we mitigate risks throughout our supply network. We actively collaborate with our suppliers to enhance outcomes and transparency in the supply chain. Our supplier selection process involves comprehensive vetting, including vendor assessment questionnaires and regular on-site visits by our team.

Environmental Stewardship

Recognizing our environmental impact as a business, we integrate environmental considerations into our decision-making processes. We are dedicated to minimizing our ecological footprint and adopting a more sustainable approach.

We make every effort to ensure that our environmental performance is as important as other key performance indicators within our business, by making sure our system, policies and processes all support sustainable practices. We continually are striving for environmental improvements, we offer our customers sustainable choices, and focus on other sustainability initiatives.

Modern Slavery

We are actively committed to contributing to the eradication of modern slavery as stipulated by the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. We maintain a strong stance against slavery, human trafficking, and other forms of exploitation within our global supply chains. Operating lawfully and ethically, we seek to align ourselves with like-minded suppliers and partners.

We expect all our suppliers to adhere to modern slavery laws and work towards preventing and combating human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, and child labour.

Community Engagement

Our commitment to caring extends to our customers, partners, and people, forming the foundation of our business. We invest in our communities across all aspects of our operations, including local charities and local community initiatives.

We deeply value our workforce and prioritize their wellbeing through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policy.
