With this new integration, boat owners using Smartgyro gyroscopic stabilisation can access enhanced interactive functionality directly from Raymarine Axiom chartplotters at the helm. Native web-app support within Axoim’s LightHouse operating system ensures easy and reliable Smartgyro integration.
Smartgyro and Raymarine Axiom integration is delivered through a lightweight, standards-compliant HTML5 web application. The interface has been optimised for the Axiom chartplotter’s embedded browser, using Smartgyro’s existing communication protocols. This approach removes the need for custom drivers or operating system changes, allowing the Smartgyro interface to load directly as a web-based application.
Raymarine’s developer resources and documentation made integration straightforward, testing simple, and validation of the Smartgyro interface hassle-free. The team refined the user interface for the touchscreen format, resulting in a seamless and intuitive experience. Being HTML5-based, the application is lightweight, fast, and easily adaptable for future feature updates.
