Yanmar 6LPAM-STP2 bobtail engine replaced failed Mercruiser 4.2L Diesel engine.
Re-used transom, sterndrive and Solas stainless steel propeller.  The difference between new and old has made the owner very happy. Heaps less noise. Better throttle response, cruise and top speed. Expect considerable fuel saving than the original engine once more hours are spent using the boat fishing.
