Operational Check # NSW084 This is a rather unique repower as this vessel started life powered by a VM marine engine driving a Jet unit. Chris Kemp, the owner loved the boat but did not enjoy driving the boat with the jet, so after many hours of hard work with some frustrations, he converted his much loved Offshore 24 to sterndrive. The boat now is a pleasure to drive at both high and low vessel speeds, with also a good increase in vessel speed from 25 knots to 33 knots. Engine control is via Sea Star Electronic controls making gear shifting very smooth when coupled to the YANMAR ZT370 electronic/hydraulic shift. No clunks going into gear like you would get from a mechanical shift sterndrive.
