John Mason Joins Power Equipment NSW
Power Equipment has announced the appointment of John Mason to the position of Power Products NSW Area Manager. In this role, John is responsible for managing project outcomes and representing Yanmar diesel and JCB DieselMax engines to the commercial and industrial OEM markets throughout New South Wales.
John is based is based in a Sydney office providing close and immediate support to Power Equipment OEM, authorised Dealers and end usersthroughout New South Wales.
With over 30 years experience working with engines and generators, John Mason is superbly credentialed for the position at Power Equipment.
“I began a long time ago as a fitter and turner doing engine re-conditioning on all different types of diesel and petrol engines,” John Mason said. “I then moved onto servicing diesel engines exclusively,”
After a lengthy stint working as a service technician with a major brand in the diesel engine industry, John looked to broadening his career in sales. With John’s wealth of technical knowledge in diesel engines he quickly experienced sales success and was promoted to a regional management role for NSW and PNG.
“When the position at Power Equipment came up, I pursued it enthusiastically,” John said.
“I was well aware of Power Equipment and the Yanmar and JCB DieselMax brands that they represent. These brands are absolutely first rate. I wanted to align myself with these products as I believe they are the best diesel products for their stated applications.”
“With the strength of our Yanmar and JCB DieselMax products there are some wonderful opportunities to grow with existing customers and at the same time expand into the NSW market. I’m also looking forward to establishing and maintaining long term relations with existing and new customers.
Arriving at Power Equipment, John was not surprised that Power Equipment’s headquarters is a first class facility.
“Now that I am at Power Equipment my expectations have been exceeded. This is a first rate operation in every facet of the business. There are a number of professionals here at Power Equipment that I believe I can learn from and also contribute to their professional development.”
