The 4045 range of Powertech engines have been developed to provide reliable operation with easy maintenance, in rugged and harsh off-highway and industrial applications. JOHN DEERE POWER SYSTEMS BUILD OPTIONS:

Engine supplied complete with:

  • SAE flywheel housing
  • SAE flywheel
  • Mechanical variable speed governor
  • 12 volt starter and alternator
  • Vertical exhaust elbow
  • Energised to run shut off solenoid
  • Operators manual

All components of Build Option A, plus:

  • Engine feet
  • Engine mounted radiator, fan and guard – customer to specify suction or blower fan
  • Engine mounted heavy duty air cleaner with raincap.

  • Engine mounted key start panel comprising of an oil pressure switchgauge
  • Engine temperature switchgauge

  • Pump discharge pressure switchgauge

Option E control system is designed to automatically adjust engine speed to maintain a constant pump pressure in an irrigation system. The engine can be automatically started and stopped by remote signal and the engine rate of speed change can be adjusted to reduce water hammer and pressure surges in the irrigation system.

The control system incorporates:

  • low oil pressure protection
  • high engine temperature protection
  • low coolant level protection
  • pump discharge, high / low pressure protection

The pump pressure transducer is supplied loose with the control system. Panel is manufactured by Kensho.

The Build Option F control system is designed to automatically start and stop the engine by remote signal. On receipt of a start signal the engine will idle for a warm up time period and accelerate up to a programmed normal running speed. On receipt of the stop signal, the engine will decelerate to idle speed and remain at this speed for a cool down period before shutting down.

The control system incorporates:

  • low oil pressure protection
  • high engine temperature protection
  • low coolant level protection
  • pump discharge, high/low pressure protection
