Power Equipment Expands Aftermarket Tech Support

Power Equipment has announced the appointment of Nick Lee to the newly created position of “National Engineering and Customer Service Manager”.  Power Equipment is the exclusive and authorised distributor of Yanmar, JCB, and MASE products. 

In announcing Nick Lee’s appointment, Noel Heritage (Power Equipment – Business Manager) confirmed that Power Equipment had intensified their focus on product support.

“Nick Lee has joined Power Equipment with the specific objective of driving our aftermarket support effort across all of our brands,” Noel Heritage said.    “This new position is squarely aimed at supporting our customers and our dealers with technical support, product training and generally provide an enhanced level of factory backing.  Nick will also interface with our principals at Yanmar, JCB, Gori, PSS and MASE with respect to warranty, engineering and product specifications.”

Nick Lee his extensive experience with diesel engines.  In his previous positions, he has been responsible for diesel applications in marine, power generation and general industry.  This has ranged from relatively smaller diesel engines right
through to mammoth diesel engines used to power sea going ships.

Prior to joining Power Equipment, Nick Lee confesses that his awareness of, and exposure to the Yanmar brand, was relatively minor.  “It wasn’t until I was appointed to my position at Power Equipment that I fully appreciated the strength of the Yanmar brand,” Nick Lee said.    “Yanmar is a market leader in Australia.  With JCB and MASE included in our product range, Power Equipment has an exceptional presence in both the marine and industrial markets.”

“These are products which speak for themselves in terms of quality.  My brief is to further improve the experience of customers across both marine and industrial applications.”

Nick Lee relishes the challenge ahead. Within his brief is the task to boost training support at both the dealer level as well as within Power Equipment.  This will involve a close working relationship between Nick and the Power Equipment Service Engineers around the country.  “The brands distributed by Power Equipment are amongst the best in the business,” Nick Lee said.

“Contributing to the enduring success of strong brands is a commitment to training at all levels and genuine aftermarket support.   I’m looking to make the training program more structured and more readily available.”

“On-line systems are also a priority.  We will be introducing an on-line warranty system and on-line training is definitely an initiative that I’ll be looking to implement at some time in future.”

A further initiative will be supporting dealers, end users and Power Equipment technical staff with technical assistance and support with any engineering concerns that arise.
